On any given day here in Stapleton you can see people biking to work, school, to a friend’s house or even to one of the 50+ parks. With over 50% of residents riding bikes at least occasionally, it is only fitting that The Denver Century Ride call’s Stapleton home.
Did you know that The Denver Century Ride is the only urban century ride (100 mile ride) in Colorado? With the start and finish lines in The Shops at Northfield Stapleton, it makes this ride unique to Stapleton. During the century ride you will enjoy exploring the streets of Stapleton, downtown Denver, the Rocky Mountains and even the beautiful plains.
Are you saying 100 miles might be a little too much? Not to worry, The Denver Century Ride has four different courses to consider. There is the ¾ century (75 miles), the ½ century (50 miles) or the quarter century (25 miles). Each of the rides invite you to explore, discover and experience greater metro Denver.
Or you might not be feeling up for a bike ride. Again, not to worry. There will be a street party with food vendors, music and a place for kids to have a little fun. Know someone participating in the ride and you aren’t? The street party is a great place to meet up with them and celebrate their ride. Enjoy an afternoon of eating, dancing and shopping. Not a bad way to finish your day.
Also, did you know The Denver Century Ride was voted the Mountain West Region’s “Best Cycling Event” in 2013 and 2014 by Competitor Magazine? The ride also benefits bicycle advocacy through support of their beneficiaries Bicycle Colorado, BikeDenver and Bike Jeffco.
