Stapleton’s New High School

February 5, 2014 Development Updates No Comments

Denver Public Schools (DPS) hasn’t built a new high school location since 1980.

Denver, Colorado – LOA Architecture, P.C. is well underway with the design of a new school campus in the Stapleton community, funded by the 2012 DPS Bond Program. The building site is located on 20 acres with adjacent athletic fields at the southeast corner of 56th Avenue and Central Park Boulevard.

It’s all north of I-70 and close to The Shops at Northfield Stapleton. The campus is expected to open in August 2015.

In an effort to strengthen the design team, LOA Architecture asked the local firm of H+L Architecture to be the associate architectural firm. In December, GE Johnson was selected as the Construction Manager/General Contractor.
