RTD FasTracks February East Rail Line Update

The East Rail Line is a 22.8-mile electric commuter rail line that will connect Denver Union Station to Denver International Airport, passing through Denver and Aurora. It is scheduled to open in 2016. There are seven stations:

  • Denver Union Station
  • 38th/Blake
  • 40th/Colorado
  • Central Park
  • Peoria
  • Airport/40th

Construction Completed

  • 129 utility relocations, including waterline relocations at Havana Street and Smith Road in Denver
  • Construction of the Quebec Street commuter rail bridge in Denver
  • Girder placement on the 38th Street commuter rail bridge near the future 38th and Blake Station
  • Grading of the track alignment along 78th Avenue near DIA
  • Track installation at Sand Creek in Denver
