Stapleton’s own Restor Medical Spa featured in The Denver Post “Your Hub”.

Combining Professional Results with a Spa Environment

Why open a business in Stapleton? …

“The first answer is we live in Stapleton. This is our home … the second reason is Dominique and I are both professional women, and we know what we need to take care of our skin,” said Dr. Flora Waples, MD.

Dr. Waples opened Restor Medical Spa at 2373 Central Park Blvd. with her sister and business partner, Dominique Waples-Trefel.

Stapleton offers opportunities for growth, especially in the medical community: “I think there are a lot of opportunities available here,” Dr. Waples said. “Before we opened, patients told me ‘I had to drive 45 minutes to get my BOTOX.”

Dr. Waples said these opportunities have only increased as the community has grown, recently marked by the Central Park Boulevard Interchange and new Montessori Children’s House of Denver.

“The thing about aesthetics that is so wonderful to me is when someone comes through the door, I can actually send them out looking better than they looked when they came in,” Dr. Waples said, whereas in trauma situations, you’re often repairing an injury and the patient may never be the same.

Dr. Waples’ background is in the area of emergency medicine and is also an on-call physician for the Federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team.

“We combine rejuvenation with a wonderfully calm spa environment, producing results that you would expect from a doctor’s office,” she said. “The only thing we don’t do here is surgery.”

Dr. Waples said technology has progressed, offering new opportunities for aesthetic treatments that can go below the epidermis without changing it: “The technology is making people look younger. We are actually rejuvenating skin cells. It’s a totally different thing,” Dr. Waples said. “The newer medical lasers can be much more selective in terms of what they’re targeting,” which helps them work for all skin types.

Restor Medical Spa offers skin treatments such as Botox & Dysport, microdermabrasion and dermaplanning, laser-skin resurfacing, chemical Peels and facials.  Hair regrowth/removal and vein laser treatments are also offered.  Restor will highlight monthly specials on the spa’s website: RestorMedicalSpa.com.

Consultations are free: “I don’t want to someone to come in and put down any money if I can’t help them,” Dr. Waples said.

Restor may add services in the future, including additional laser treatments and procedures for body sculpting.
In the end … “My goal is to give people good, naturally looking results that make them proud and happy of what they’ve done,” she said. “Your face is the way you present yourself to the world…it’s important.”
