It’s official! RTD announced that the University of Colorado A Line will begin servicing commuters April 22, 2016. The commuter rail spans 23 miles and connects Denver’s Union Station to Denver International Airport It will serve employees and residents of the River North, Cole, Elyria-Swansea, Clayton, North Park Hill, Stapleton, Morris Heights, Gateway, Montbello and Green Valley Ranch neighborhoods. At a speed of 79 miles per hour, and a capacity of 200 people, commuters will arrive at their destination quickly and more easily than ever before.
“The start of RTD’s commuter rail service to DIA is a game changer for the airport. This will put us on par with the world’s leading airports as many of our international passengers are used to access to the world’s great cities via rail. This easy connection to the city center and region will elevate the Denver metro travel experience,” said Kim Day, CEO of Denver International Airport (kdvr.com).
Put simply, the commuter rail will be a catalyst for business and office development in Denver and the areas surrounding the stations.
