Employment in Metro Denver rose 2.4 percent between October 2014 and 2015, or an additional 36,600 jobs during the period. The employment growth consisted of a 2.5 percent increase in the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood MSA, or an additional 34,700 jobs, and a 1.1 percent increase in the Boulder MSA, representing 1,900 jobs.
Consumer Confidence for the Mountain Region Index, which includes Colorado, reported declines in November. The index fell to 97.4 in November from the October revised level of 103.2, decreasing 5.6 percent over-the-month. The index also fell 3.8 percent over-the-year.
A National Association of Realtors report revealed that median home prices throughout the Metro Denver area decreased between the second and third quarters of 2015. The Boulder MSA reported a 3.2 percent decrease ($449,000) in home prices over-the-quarter, while the Denver-Aurora MSA ($353,000) recorded a 2.7 percent decrease in home prices during the same period.
