Denver Transit Partners started the Havana Street reconstruction project five weeks ago. Earlier this afternoon, DTP reopened Havana Street for two-way traffic between 37th Avenue and Florence Way on schedule. Construction activity will continue to take place on Smith Road, just east of Havana Street, for another two to three weeks.

One more full closure of Havana Street, at the railroad crossing, will occur this fall in order to install the rail and railroad crossing systems. However, these future construction activities will not affect the flow of traffic on Smith Road. When the potential start date for construction becomes available, we will keep you informed of the schedule of activities.

We appreciate your patience during the construction process as Denver Transit Partners continues to improve the transit infrastructure as we build the RTD FasTracks East Rail Line to DIA.
