Jan-March MCA Events

The Stapleton Master Community Association (MCA) is starting the New Year with Active Minds Seminars and more!

Active Minds began at a Denver church in 2002 and has since grown to other community locations, offering free classes from area experts about global issues, history and other topics. Classes are held at the Sam Gary Branch Library (2961 Roslyn St., 80238). Learn more about Active Minds.

Community Night at DU Hockey join the MCA at the Magness Arena (2250 E Jewell Ave., 80208) to watch the University of Denver’s Pioneers take on the Omaha Mavericks. Get your tickets here.

Film Series-Family Classics allows for neighbors to come together to view family favorite movies. The series is hosted at The Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd., 80238) and begins at 7pm. Learn more and get your tickets at the links below.

Family Game Night at The Cube is a chance for the community to get together and play a variety of different board games. Don’t miss this free event! Held at The Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd., 80238) from 6pm-9pm.

Community Night with The Denver Nuggets join the MCA at the Pepsi Center (1000 Chopper Cir., 80204) to watch the Denver Nuggets take on the Phoenix Suns. Get your tickets here. The deadline to get your tickets is Friday, Jan. 18th.

Harry Potter Movie Marathon invites children in 2nd-5th grades to The Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd., 80238) for an overnight event to watch all 8 Harry Potter movies. Residents can register for the event here whereas nonresidents can fill out a registration form.

  • Friday, Feb. 1 check-in and child drop-off is at 2:30pm
  • Saturday, Feb. 2 children should be picked up at 10am

Wine & Chocolate Tasting will feature an educational aspect to wine tasting. Hosted at The Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd., 80238) from 7pm-9pm. *Must be 21 to attend. Click on the link below to purchase your tickets.

Photography Seminar will host Mike Holtby as he presents: Storytelling through Photography. Holtby will have just returned from an assignment with the Jimmy Nelson Foundation, photographing the Hadzabe tribe in Tanzania; one of the last hunter-gatherers whose population numbers just a few thousand. He will also show photos and video clips of his experience with the initiation of young men into the crocodile culture in Papua New Guinea. Held at the Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd.. 80238) at 7pm. Whiskey Education join the MCA at The Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd., 80238) from 7pm-9pm for a tasting of different types of whiskey and whiskey drinks led by a spirits educator. For more information about tickets click here.

Photography Walk join the team who captures many of Stapleton’s events, photographers Cari and Jason, as they guide you on a walk to discover the photographic wonders in the Conservatory Green neighborhood. The walk begins at The Cube (8371 Northfield Blvd., 80238) at 2pm. Get the details.
