Stapleton is Business Ready: After a year of construction, a public ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Oct. 24 to celebrate the new the Central Park Boulevard Interchange. The interchange borders commercial development and available land on the north and south sides of Stapleton. Learn more about the community’s business opportunities.
The interchange will also open Monday, Oct. 31, connecting both sides of Stapleton by a pedestrian-friendly bridge across Central Park Boulevard. This will provide direct access to The Shops at Northfield Stapleton as well as Interstates 70 and 270.
The ceremony will be on the Central Park Boulevard bridge between Havana and Quebec streets. To get there, take I-70 to Havana Street and head south. Drive west on 40th Avenue to where the street ends, and there will be signs for parking.
Here’s a tentative event schedule:
- 9:30 a.m.: Denver Municipal Band will begin playing.
- 10:00 a.m.: Speeches by Mayor Hancock, Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez, Former Mayor Guillermo (Bill) Vidal and other public officials.
- 10:40 a.m.: The band will play again, which will be followed by other community events.
- 11:30: Everything ends (the interchange will open soon after).
