Installed: 2010
Walking through the park, one may realize that the natural setting is really not natural in the sense that it is a manmade park with a creek that, until the mid 20thcentury was enclosed in a conduit under the east/west runway of Stapleton International Airport. This installation is composed of 19 earthcast vessels on their sides adjacent to circulation nodes between the bridges at East 26th Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. These vessels demonstrate the delicate balance between human interaction and nature. Each of the five nodes features a different grouping of vessels in arrangements that relate to human movement and the movement of the sun, celebrating these intersections. The configurations of Chorus offer a subtle narrative, as if voices telling their story of this place.
