Posted on March 28, 2012The Coldwell Banker Denver Century Ride will start and finish in Stapleton on Father’s Day June 17.
The third annual event is moving to the community after beginning at Mile High Stadium: “Stapleton was selected as our new home not only because of its beautiful setting, central access and plentiful parking, but because Stapleton is such a bicycle-friendly, ‘green’ neighborhood and embodies the spirit of the Denver Century Ride,” Chris Mygatt, President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, said in a recent release about the ride. “We are delighted to have Stapleton as our new partner of the ride along with the return of Rickenbaugh Cadillac Volvo as presenting sponsor.”
The event features five new courses, including long-distance rides through Downtown Denver, Boulder County and the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge before ending in Stapleton’s 80-acre Central Park.
For riders looking for shorter distances, the “Tour de Stapleton” option of the Denver Century Ride is five miles and will include a picnic, child-friendly station and treats for the whole family!
More than 500 participants have already signed up for the ride, which benefits BikeDenver. The Denver non-profit has given more than $20,000 to cycling causes since the Century Ride began in 2010.
