VECTRA BANK TO BUILD FREE-STANDING BRANCH AT STAPLETON’S QUEBEC SQUARE
DENVER – Vectra Bank Colorado announced today it will open an 8,000-square-foot, stand-alone bank branch at Quebec Square, the new regional retail center that anchors Forest City’s redevelopment of the former Stapleton International Airport as a new mixed-use neighborhood within the city of Denver.

“Vectra’s focus is on growing with the communities we serve, including Denver. Stapleton gives us a strategic opportunity to build with Stapleton’s businesses and residents as they forge a new community in northeast Denver,” said Bruce Alexander, president and CEO of Vectra Bank Colorado, a statewide banking network of more than 55 branches. The Stapleton branch is scheduled to open in Spring 2003.

Located in the regional retail center at the corner of Smith Road and Quebec Street, the new Vectra Bank joins a growing roster of Quebec Square retailers that includes Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Borders Books and Super Wal-Mart. “We will be active participants in the Stapleton community and strive to work not only with the growing business community at Stapleton and along the I-70 corridor, but with the families and individuals who will make Stapleton their home,” said Alexander.

“We are very pleased to have Vectra Bank Colorado at Quebec Square,” said John Lehigh, chief operating officer for Forest City Stapleton, Inc. “Coloradans living in communities across our state know that Vectra Bank is a full service bank that places the highest priority on customer service. We look forward to the day that Vectra Bank opens its doors at Quebec Square to the residents and businesses located at Stapleton and in the surrounding neighborhoods.”
